Like a phoenix from the ashes, the CPC Readings Series has shaken off the demise of two venues to return in a burst of glorious spring colour. A paltry 300 metres south of the beloved ex-site of the MCB, the readings have relocated to “new big fat comfortable venue” is the CPIT Students Association (CPSA) Hall, at 5 Madras Street. (It’s the bright yellow building just to the right of the main entrance – you can’t miss it.) There is a cafe onsite, and patrons can use the main pay-and-display carpark at CPIT.
And once again, the guest poets for the final evening will be … the winners of the Open Mic from the previous 8 weeks. Hooray! (Who knows – maybe I’ll give “Fare” its first public airing …)
