Finally I am allowed to reveal … I was Highly Commended in the Open Poetry section! Woohoo!
Ok, that was a bit lame. But the fact is that I’ve never managed to get even a special mention in the Open section before. And this is the poem I blogged about earlier in the year, so it feels especially sweet.
On the downside, I got absolutely nothing in the Haiku section. Which is also a first! Every other year that I’ve entered, I’ve had at least a Commended. And I can’t even rely on the editor of this year’s anthology to see reason and select a piece, because I am the editor!
