CPC 2020 – It lives!

Yes, we finally have a lineup that is as settled as Covid19 and the general mischievousness of the universe will permit. As I type this, we still aren’t entirely sure what level of pandemic protocol we will be trying to go forward under – so just in case some late breaking events throw a spanner (or possibly some other tool of equal mechanical sophistication) into our plans, it’s probably a good idea to check the CPC page on Facebook on the day of the reading in question (said page maintained by the indefatigable and irrepressible John Allison).

As always feel free to download your own copy of the poster by clicking on the image.

The 2020 lineup is …

September 23rd – Elizabeth Smither, Marisa Cappetta, Janet Wainscott
September 30th – Behrouz Boochani, Erik Kennedy, Jenna Heller
October 7th – Nick Ashcroft, Rose Collins, Philip Armstrong
October 14th – Helen Rickerby, Jeni Curtis, Ciaran Fox
October 21st – Robert McLean, Nathan Joe, Helen Mongillo
October 28th – Michelle Elvy, Karen Zelas, David Gregory
November 4th – Bob Orr, writers from Hagley Writers’ Institute
November 11th – Lisa Samuels, Best of the Open Mic

The sessions start at 6.30 pm and finish around 8.30 pm, with open mic for the first half. The cost is a piddling $6 per session, or you can buy yourself a season’s ticket for a discount – a great way of showing your support for the readings overall. The venue is the Imagetech Theatre at ARA Institute, 130 Madras Street, Christchurch.
