Thank you to the people who added their votes to the Poetry Day polls. But I made a booboo – as Catherine reminded me, polls are anonymous. So could those who want to be in the draw for a book also leave a comment please (even if it’s just “entry!”) so that I can contact you when I pick the winner.
For those of you who want to know, the winners have been announced. And it would seem that the majority of us knew who it would be – Sam Sampson and Jenny Bornholdt. So the question is, are we discerning, or just cynical? Or both?
I’m oscillating between joy and nervousness at the moment. With a side-order of unreality …
A Dark Feathered Art 
I can’t say I was discerning in picking Sam Sampson, and not really cynical either – it’s just that his book has had more publicity than either of the others, which made it seem as if he was in favour with the “movers and shakers” of the poetry world.
