A quick shout-out to those of you with ekphrastic poems looking for a home – Cordite Poetry Review has an issue with just that theme coming up, with a deadline of November 1st. (An ekphrastic poem is a poem based on, or triggered by, a piece of visual art. But you knew that, right?)
Given how many exercises I’ve taught over the last few years that were based on artworks, there should be quite a few ekphrastic poems out there waiting to be snapped up. So if that applies to you, toddle over and check their requirements for this issue as well as their general submission guidelines, and submit away.
If you have attended one of my classes and get a resultant poem accepted, come back and shout it out loud!
